Vinay replaces injured Balaji
India have called up Vinay Kumar for the two-match Twenty20 series against England after fellow seamer Lakshmipathy Balaji was forced to withdraw from the squad.
Balaji, India’s leading wicket-taker at the recent World T20 in Sri Lanka, has a stress injury to his right big toe.
Medium-pacer Vinay will therefore be given the opportunity to add to his eight T20 international caps, the last of which came against South Africa in Johannesburg nine months ago.
