Steven Finn (Middlesex)
Graham Onions (Durham)
Monty Panesar (Sussex)
^Kevin Pietersen (Surrey)
Matt Prior (Sussex)
Joe Root (Yorkshire)
+James Tredwell (Kent)
Jonathan Trott (Warwickshire)
Chris Woakes (Warwickshire)

+Graeme Swann was ruled out of the series on the first morning of the opening Test due to an elbow injury. He was therefore replaced by Tredwell.

^Pietersen returned to the UK ahead of the final Test for further assessment of a knee injury.
