Mohsin Khan, who has overseen successful series with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, will remain interim head coach against England

Pakistan have announced that Mohsin Khan will continue as interim coach for the series with England starting next month.

The 56-year-old former Pakistan opening batsman succeeded Waqar Younis in October, taking charge against Sri Lanka and the current rubber versus Bangladesh.

PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf explained the decision to continue with Mohsin, who is also the head of selectors, has been made because the PCB is yet to identify a full-time coach.

"The current coaching team will continue to work for the England series as well," Ashraf said.

"We have yet to take a decision on the appointment of the new coaching staff. It is not my call to name a coach as I have appointed an expert team of former Test cricketers to decide. I have told them to find the best candidate."
