England v ICC XI to be streamed live
Quipu TV will provide a live stream of England's three-day tour match against a Combined Associate and Affiliate XI in Dubai
England’s three-day tour game against an ICC Combined Associate and Affiliate XI in Dubai from a week tomorrow will be available to watch live online thanks to Quipu TV.
The newly-formed Scottish media company has been given the non-exclusive rights to stream the match in the lead-up to England’s Test series with Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.
The game will be made available through at least eight cricket websites, including cricketscotland.com. A payment gateway contained within the video player will allow access to eight hours of live coverage on all three days for US$9.99.
The coverage is expected to be on air from 0515 to 1330 GMT on each day, providing ball-by-ball action and commentary, with live interviews and features before and after the game, and during intervals. An as-live recording of each day's play will be available to view from approximately 1600 GMT.
Quipu TV chief executive Jack McGill said: “It’s fantastic that we have been granted the non-exclusive live online coverage rights to this game, and we regard it as a great privilege.
“All of our directors are cricket fans and cricketers themselves, and we have a passion for the sport which we hope to convey in our coverage.”
