Injured Broad misses tour opener

After spraining his ankle during fielding practice, Stuart Broad was withdrawn from England's team for their first tour match in Sri Lanka
Stuart Broad was a late injury withdrawal from the first warm-up match of England’s tour of Sri Lanka.
The Nottinghamshire seamer was named in the starting XI for the game against a Sri Lanka Board XI at the R Premadasa Stadium but sprained his left ankle after tripping over a boundary rope in fielding practice. He was replaced in the team by Steven Finn.
An ECB spokesman said: “England medical staff will review the injury overnight and Stuart will undergo ice treatment in the meantime.”
