Andrew Flintoff checks the progress of his left thumb with coach Andy Flower

Andrew Flintoff and Kevin Pietersen have been passed fit for England’s one-day series decider against West Indies in St Lucia tomorrow.

The pair both suffered injuries in Sunday’s nine-wicket win in Barbados and were considered doubtful for tomorrow’s final match of the Caribbean tour at the Beausejour Stadium.

Pietersen has shrugged off a back spasm while all-rounder Flintoff is expected to play despite a left thumb injury.

The tourists will delay naming their XI until tomorrow.
