Mahinda Rajapaksa International StadiumLocation: Hambantota  First ODI: N/A One of two arenas in Sri Lanka built specifically for the World Cup, this ground on the south coast is the only one of the 13 employed throughout the tournament that has never hosted international cricket. It bears the name of the current Sri Lanka President but is also referred to as the Suriyawewa Cricket Stadium. Pallekele International StadiumLocation: Pallekele, Kandy  First ODI: N/A Also known as the Muttiah Muralitharan International Stadium after the country’s greatest player, this venue had hosted just one international match - a Test between Sri Lanka and West Indies last December.
