White takes Symonds' place

Cameron White has received a call-up to the Australia squad following today's decision to send Andrew Symonds home
Cameron White will replace Andrew Symonds in Australia’s ICC World Twenty20 squad, the International Cricket Council has confirmed.
Symonds was sent home by team management earlier today for an “alcohol-related” breach of discipline.
Australia asked for permission to name a replacement and the ICC's event technical committee has now approved White's inclusion.
Leg-spinning all-rounder White has played seven Twenty20 and 28 one-day internationals for Australia.
He is expected to link up with the squad in the next 24 hours, ahead of their opening fixture against West Indies at The Oval on Saturday.
Symonds, 34 next week, was due to fly back to Australia at the first opportunity after contravening the self-imposed guidelines set upon his return to the green and gold ranks earlier this year.
Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland termed the development, which included more than one breach in the past few days, as the “final straw” today.
