Hamza Riazuddin claimed 2-51 from nine overs as Bangladesh posted 269 for six at Grace Road before rain intervened

England Under-19s maintained their 1-0 advantage over their Bangladesh counterparts in the Friends Provident one-day series as rain forced a no result in the second encounter of five at Grace Road.

The tourists had posted a competitive 269 for six in 50 overs after winning the toss but only 3.3 overs of England's reply were possible.

Opener Anamul Haque's 78 from 108 balls underpinned Bangladesh total while Mominul Haque`s 57 from 69 deliveries maintained the momentum before Alauddin Babu blasted 41 from 18 to provided late impetus.

Nathan Buck and Hamza Riazuddin claimed two wickets apiece before the hosts closed on 18 without loss.

The third one-dayer is at the County Ground, Northampton, on Tuesday.
