New Zealand have named an unchanged squad for the second Test against England in Wellington which starts on Thursday.

Paceman Doug Bracewell continues to be absent due to the foot injury that saw him miss the first Test in Dunedin.

New Zealand will again be without Doug Bracewell in Wellington because of the foot injury which kept him out of the first Test

That contest ended all square when England fought back after being dismissed for just 167 in the first innings.

After the hosts had declared on 460 for nine in response, nightwatchman Steven Finn made a half century to become an unlikely hero while openers Alastair Cook and Nick Compton both surpassed three figures in the draw.

Ian Butler will continue to take the place of Bracewell, who cut his foot at his house in Napier after cleaning up following a party.

New Zealand’s head coach Mike Hesson revealed Bracewell’s injury will be monitored again prior to the third and final Test in Auckland which begins on March 22.

Hesson said: “I was very pleased with both the bowling and batting efforts in Dunedin and we plan to build on that in Wellington.”
