Australia reinforce A team
Australia have made several changes to their A squad for the remaining one-day matches against England Lions.
The hosts, 2-0 up in the five-match series following back-to-back wins in Hobart, have called up wicketkeeper-batsman Peter Handscomb for Friday’s third game at the same venue.
Josh Hazlewood, fit again after overcoming the latest in a long line of foot problems, and fellow seamer Gurinder Sandhu will then be available for the two fixtures in Sydney.
The reinforcements have been sent for following injuries to Shaun Marsh and Kane Richardson.
Marsh retired hurt after compiling a century in the series-opener and has since had surgery to repair a ruptured hamstring tendon, while Williamson is suffering from a minor stress reaction in his back.
