The second day of the England Performance Programme XI’s three-day match against an MRF XI in Chennai was washed out without a ball being bowled.
James Hildreth and Jonathan Trott both hit centuries on the first day to help the tourists to 358 for four.
The pair added 209 for the third wicket as Somerset youngster Hildreth smashed 136 from 130 balls while Warwickshire’s Trott made 114 from 193 deliveries.
