England and Wales Cricket Board Academy Director Peter Moores will be one of a clutch of high-profile cricket personalities passing on their expertise to a delegation of continental coaches in Warwick this week.
Moores will be joined by England coach Duncan Fletcher’s assistant Matthew Maynard, Shane Warne’s leg-spin mentor Terry Jenner and Nasser Hussain, the former England captain, imparting knowledge to coaches from 14 countries.
The European Coaching and Development Conference will be attended by representatives from France, Denmark, Finland, Spain and Belgium from Thursday onwards at Warwick University.
Moores and Co will then speak at the ECB Coaches Association National Conference which concludes the four-day event.
International Cricket Council European Development Manager Richard Holdsworth anticipates a hugely beneficial exchange of ideas for all.
“The four days are all about sharing good practice and good procedures throughout Europe,” he said.
“The 28 coaches attending from throughout our region all have a role with national squads either at youth, Academy or senior level - and this is a golden chance for them to acquire expert knowledge on a first-hand basis.
“To have someone like Nasser Hussain, for example, talking about captaincy and leadership will give those coaches present so much quality information.”
