England give to Pakistan flood victims
England's players have pledged their support for those affected by the Pakistan floods by donating a percentage of their match payments from the third npower Test to the Pakistan floods appeal.
England captain Andrew Strauss outlined his team's gesture following the conclusion of the match.
"The England players have decided to donate a portion of their match payments to the Pakistan floods appeal," he said.
"It was a decision we felt was important given the terrible plight of so many in Pakistan.
"It's a massive humanitarian catastrophe out there and we're trying to help as much as we can and the more people who do that the better."
Strauss also led the Disasters Emergency Committee's relief campaign by launching a series of bucket collections at npower Test matches during the current series with Pakistan.
The first of these took place during the second Test at Edgbaston with other venues following suit.
