Additional Cardiff Test tickets on sale

Glamorgan have released extra tickets for this month’s first npower Test between England and Sri Lanka at Cardiff, starting on the 26th

Due to exceptional public demand for tickets to welcome England’s Ashes heroes to Cardiff, Glamorgan have released extra tickets for this month’s first npower Test against Sri Lanka.

All lower-price category tickets have sold out and, with the match now just one week away - the game starts on May 26, Glamorgan urge fans to buy now to avoid disappointment.

Several blocks of seating which were expected to remain closed have now been opened to cope with the increased demand. Further category D tickets, priced at £30 for days one to three and £25 for day four are now available.

All tickets will be on sale in the days leading up to the match, online, in person and through the club’s ticket hotline, and will also be available from ticket booths at the stadium throughout the match.

Glamorgan chief executive Alan Hamer said: “As we expected, many supporters have left it late to purchase their tickets for this match and we have seen a particularly big surge in sales over the past 10 days.

“This is proof that the Welsh public remain very excited about supporting the England cricket team.

"Cardiff cricket fans are renowned for creating a fantastic atmosphere and we are confident that over 10,000 people will attend each of the first three days of the match, to give the England team a warm welcome.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate one of the greatest achievements in British sport in recent years, and a must-see event for any sports fan.”

Tickets are available from 029 2041 9311 and, or in person at the stadium.
