Amjad Khan made his England debut in the final winter Test against West Indies but flew home during the one-day series
Kent and England paceman Amjad Khan could be bowling again in a fortnight after recovering well from his recent knee problems.
Khan, who was handed a Test debut against West Indies in March, suffered cartilage damage but has been cleared by consultant Andrew Williams to push ahead with his rehabilitation.
A statement from Kent read: “(Khan) visited leading knee consultant Andrew Williams in London last week and Mr Williams declared himself pleased with how things are progressing.
“Khan will start running at the end of next week and, providing everything goes okay, could be bowling two weeks later.”
The ECB medical team, in harness with fast bowling coach Kevin Shine, will continue to work with Kent on a comeback programme for the Danish-born seamer.
