England batsman Eoin Morgan has returned to the top of the International Cricket Council Twenty20 international player rankings at the expense of New Zealand’s Martin Guptill.

The 25-year-old’s unbeaten two in England’s seven-wicket victory over West Indies at Trent Bridge last month was enough to dethrone Black Caps opener Guptill, who could only manage 29 runs in the two-match series against Darren Sammy’s side in Florida.

Spinner Graeme Swann continues to sit pretty at the top of the bowling standings ahead of Pakistan’s Saeed Ajmal.
