Marston's scoop top award
ECB partner Marston's have won the sports sponsorship of the year award at the prestigious Hollis Sponsorship Awards 2008.
Marston's campaign as the official beer of England cricket boosted their profile, and sparked a turnaround in market share.
They created their very own cricket club online which provided the latest news from cricket websites around the world - including ecb.co.uk. There was also the chance to play cricket games and enter exclusive competitions to win signed player merchandise.
Marston's saw off strong competition in the sports sponsorship category; the panel recognising their work with ECB ahead of others including E-on (FA Cup), Guinness (rugby union) and Velux (sailing).
Marston’s is also an official partner of the Twenty20 Cup. As part of the two-year deal, Marston’s Smooth has become the official beer of the Twenty20 Cup and sponsor of the umpires in all domestic Twenty20 Cup matches.
