More tickets on sale for Ageas Bowl ODI
Extra seats have been made available for the England versus West Indies one-day international at the Ageas Bowl on Saturday 16 June.
All bar 700 of the ground’s permanent seats had already been sold prior to the tourists’ arrival in the UK last week. Hampshire expect those to have gone by the end of this week.
Therefore, temporary seats, as well as blocks K and M in the Northern End section, are being opened up to the public to accommodate an anticipated last-minute surge in ticket sales.
Ageas Bowl group commercial director Zac Toumazi said: “We’ve seen a great deal of interest in this match, and I think that’s only right as it will be the first ODI of the English summer.
“Both sides have a really exciting group of players with one of the best all-round one-day cricketers in the world, Chris Gayle potentially in the frame for the West Indies and an England side full of confidence after a 4-0 series win against Pakistan.
“So it should be a great day out. It’s a Saturday so it’s a great excuse to bring the whole family and enjoy two of the most exciting teams in world one-day cricket go head to head.”
Hampshire members have the opportunity to purchase their individual ticket at the discounted rate of £53 for adults (saving £10) with under-16s just £10. They have until 5pm on May 18 to take advantage of the discount. Thereafter, tickets will be priced as per the general public. Find out more at www.ageasbowl.com.
Corporate hospitality is still available for the match, priced from £299 per person excluding VAT.
