Extra seats have been made available for the England versus West Indies one-day international at the Ageas Bowl on Saturday 16 June.

All bar 700 of the ground’s permanent seats had already been sold prior to the tourists’ arrival in the UK last week. Hampshire expect those to have gone by the end of this week.

Therefore, temporary seats, as well as blocks K and M in the Northern End section, are being opened up to the public to accommodate an anticipated last-minute surge in ticket sales.

Ageas Bowl group commercial director Zac Toumazi said: “We’ve seen a great deal of interest in this match, and I think that’s only right as it will be the first ODI of the English summer.
