Bangladesh call on reserves

Injuries to Mushfiqur Rahim and Raqibul Hasan have prompted Bangladesh to draft Mohammad Ashraful, above, and Naeem Islam into their one-day squad

Bangladesh have moved to bolster their squad after losing Mushfiqur Rahim and Raqibul Hasan to injuries at Trent Bridge.

Wicketkeeper Mushfiqur is out for a week after being hit in the face standing up to Faisal Hossain and batsman Raqibul has a fractured toe, sustained after he was hit by an Anderson yorker.

A Bangladesh spokesman confirmed that batsman Mohammad Ashraful has been summoned as cover and is due to arrive in England tonight.

All-rounder Naeem Islam will also join the squad tomorrow and should be available for the third match of the series at Edgbaston on Monday.
