Elliott callled up for Black Caps
New Zealand have added Grant Elliott to their squad for the remainder of the NatWest Series one-day internationals against England.
The South Africa-born all-rounder has been added as cover for injured Jacob Oram, who suffered a hamstring strain on Friday during the warm-up for the Twenty20 international at Old Trafford.
Oram will not be considered for Wednesday’s second match in Birmingham and is regarded as doubtful for Saturday’s game in Bristol, which has prompted the tourists to call upon Elliott.
The 29-year-old made his international debut against England at Napier in the Test series in New Zealand earlier this year but has yet to feature for the Black Caps in the one-day game.
