The England selectors named the following squad for the five-match NatWest Series against Australia from June 29 to July 10:

- Stuart Meaker was added to the squad prior to the second one-day internationals as cover for Anderson, who was suffering from a tight groin.
- Woakes was called up for the third ODI due to Dernbach and Meaker being unavailable for selection on compassionate grounds.
* Dernbach was ruled out of the remainder of the series on July 2 due to a side strain.
** Woakes and Tredwell were added to the squad on July 5 for the last two ODIs in place of Dernbach and Swann, who was rested to overcome discomfort in his right elbow.
^ Bairstow was released ahead of the final ODI, having not featured in the first four games.
