Tim Bresnan was added to the squad as cover for Chris Tremlett ahead of the warm-up one-day international against Scotland.

Steve Harmison was called up to cover the injured Ryan Sidebottom the day before the first ODI against South Africa at Headingley Carnegie.

Sidebottom’s groin problem forced him out of the series the day before the second ODI at Trent Bridge.
