India ODI sells out at Durham

Emirates Durham ICG

England will be backed by a sell-out crowd in excess of 17,000 when they meet world champions India at the Emirates Durham ICG

England’s NatWest Series clash against India at the Emirates Durham ICG on Saturday September 3 has now sold out.

Over 17,000 tickets have been purchased by fans to watch the recently-crowned world champions take on England in their only visit to the region this year.

Demand for ground admission tickets has been huge since they were released in late October and the last few hundred tickets were snapped up early this week.

Durham chief executive David Harker said, “It’s obviously great news for the match to already be sold out. To have sold 17,000 five months before the game is due to be played is a real achievement and it just goes to show what great support cricket has in the north-east.

“Tickets sold well as soon as they were released and the last few thousand sold especially fast as India progressed through the World Cup."

There are limited hospitality places remaining for this fixture. For further details contact Tom Seymour on 0191 387 2874 or tom.seymour@durhamccc.co.uk.
