Extra tickets for England v Australia at Durham
Thousands more seats for July’s NatWest Series one-day international between England and Australia at the Emirates Durham ICG will be available on Monday morning.
At 9am on Monday 30 April Durham will release 2,500 tickets for the game on Saturday 7 July, which sold out within five weeks of going on general sale.
The seats, which cost £60 each, will be located in the new permanent North East Terrace stand, on which construction begins this week and will be situated on the east side of the ground.
The new stand will replace the temporary one which is usually constructed for major match days and will offer spectators a much enhanced viewing experience with wider gangways and improved leg room.
Durham chief executive David Harker said: “International cricket at Emirates Durham ICG is always incredibly well supported and we’re delighted that we can confirm the construction of the new North East Terrace, which enables us to improve the match day experience of those people that enjoy sitting in that side of the ground as well as moving a step closer to completing the building structures around the circumference of the stadium.
“The initial ticket allocation for this match sold out quickly and our box office has been inundated with ticket queries for months about this next release of seats, so we do expect that this allocation will be snapped up just as fast and are therefore advising that those wishing to attend buy their tickets as soon as possible.”
Tickets can be purchased online at www.durhamccc.co.uk or by calling the box office during office hours on 0844 499 4466.
