Rose Bowl expands for India ODI
Due to huge demand for tickets, the Rose Bowl has increased its capacity for England’s NatWest Series one-day international against India on Tuesday 6 September.
The venue - which is home to Hampshire Cricket - has added a further 7,000 temporary seats to the east and west of the ground next to the new stands, taking capacity to over 20,000. Only a few tickets remain of the initial allocation of 13,500 and, with the match still around six months away, fans are being urged to book early to avoid missing out.
The Rose Bowl Group commercial director Zac Toumazi said: “We’ve been pleased but not surprised by the huge interest generated by this match. England and India are two of the best sides in international cricket – something which was shown when the two sides played out a thrilling tie in the World Cup recently.
“In a year when the Rose Bowl also welcomes Test match cricket to the south coast for the first time ever and the Royals defend their Twenty20 crown we look forward to treating cricket fans across the south to a wonderful summer of international and domestic sport.”
Tickets in the new seats are priced at £55 for adults and £10 for juniors and can be purchased online at www.rosebowlplc.com or by calling the Hampshire Cricket box office during office hours on 0870 243 0291.
