Jonathan Trott's 111 runs in four innings during the NatWest Series have positioned him fourth in the ICC one-day international rankings

Jonathan Trott has moved up one place to fourth in the ICC one-day international rankings following his 111 runs in four innings during the NatWest Series defeat of India.

Trott has usurped Sri Lanka wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara and sits one place ahead of India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who was player of the series for 236 runs in five innings.

Trott is one of several England players on the up in ODIs: Alastair Cook (169 runs in five innings) has risen seven places to 42nd, Ian Bell (130 in five) three to 55th, Ravi Bopara (197 in four) 14 to 65th, Craig Kieswetter (136 in five) 12 to 82nd and Tim Bresnan (55 in two) 18 to 104.

Graeme Swann, who took eight wickets in four matches, remains top of the ODI bowling rankings, in which James Anderson is up two places to 11th following five wickets in three games.

Stuart Broad, who matched Anderson’s haul, falls four places to 26th. Broad is one ahead of Bresnan, who stays put, having claimed six wickets in five contests.
