New commentary for Twenty20

NatWest International T20

Sky Sports has teamed up with broadcast specialists Sound Decisions to provide TV commentary via radio headsets at the NatWest International Twenty20 match on Monday June 13.

In a first for cricket, fans at the inaugural Twenty20 England versus Australia clash will be able to enjoy the Sky Sports coverage - including build-up, match commentary and post-game review - via a local FM frequency which can only be picked up by special SoundDec radio head sets.

Spectators at the Rose Bowl will be able to purchase the radio headsets from various sales outlets at the ground. It is the first time that spectators will be able to enjoy Sky Sports' cricket coverage from their seats in the ground. Further information on the headsets can be found at www.sounddec.com

Paul Forsyth, sales director of Sound Decisions, said: "Nobody doubts that Sky Sports' cricket team is the best in the business and this is a fantastic opportunity for fans at the game to enjoy the action first hand, with the Sky commentary in their ears; the best of both worlds."

Barney Francis, Sky Sports' executive producer for cricket, said: "Our commentators can't wait for the first ever Twenty20 match between England and Australia and I'm sure those at the Rose Bowl will enjoy hearing our coverage as they watch the action unfold."

The Sky Sports match commentary features former England captain Nasser Hussain, former England coach David Lloyd, and former England batsman Ian Ward. Sky's Charles Colvile will present.

Sky is currently providing a similar service for Lions fans in New Zealand who wish to hear the Sky Sports rugby commentary during matches.

The international Twenty20 match kicks off a busy period of international cricket for Sky Sports with 13 One-Day Internationals from the NatWest Series and Challenge broadcast exclusively live and interactive.

Sky Sports will also be screening extended highlights of each day's play from the forthcoming npower Ashes Series.
