Strauss joins Sky Sports commentary team
Triple Ashes-winner Andrew Strauss will be back in person to witness and commentate on this year's rematches with Australia, as a broadcast pundit.
Strauss, successful against the Aussies in 2005, 2009 and 2010-11 - as captain on the last two occasions, has joined Sky's commentary team for the Ashes at home this summer and Down Under next winter.
The 36-year-old played in 100 Tests before retiring at the end of last summer, and handing over to his former opening partner Alastair Cook - who is set to lead England in their bid to win the Ashes twice in six months.
Strauss will find himself in elevated and familiar company, alongside five other ex-England captains currently inhabiting the Sky commentary box.
"I am delighted to be joining the Sky Sports team for the Ashes," he said.
"I can't wait to watch and commentate on what promises to be two exciting contests.
"I look forward to joining the guys in the summer and sharing my thoughts with the viewers."
