England’s Ashes-winning captain Andrew Strauss is among four players shortlisted for the International Cricket Council’s Cricketer of the Year award.
India’s Gautam Gambhir and Mahendra Singh Dhoni are also in the running for the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy, as is Australia fast bowler Mitchell Johnson.
Strauss, Gambhir and Johnson are also still in with a chance of the Test Player of the Year award, alongside Sri Lanka’s Thilan Samaraweera.
England women's captain Charlotte Edwards and batsman Claire Taylor are on the shortlist for the women’s Cricketer of the Year award, and Graham Onions is still in with a chance of winning the Emerging Player prize.
The awards will be presented at the sixth annual ICC awards, which is held in Johannesburg on October 1.
There are eight individual prizes, as well as awards for the Test and one-day international teams of the year and the Spirit of Cricket.
