Hampshire reached a mammoth 471 for eight on the first day of the two-day Under-17 County Championship final against Durham at Hove.

Durham and Hants clash again
Durham’s Under-17 side has reached the final of the ECB U17 County Championship to be played at Hove on Tuesday 28 and Wednesday 29 against Hampshire, in a replay of the Friends Provident Trophy Final in August.

Wales and Essex champions in youth cricket
Essex U15s added the 2007 County Cup to their trophy cabinet while Wales proved the strongest contenders among the U13s at the recent Finals Festival for the U15 and U13 County Cups at Oundle School in Northamptonshire.

Wales saw off the challenge of Cheshire, Warwickshire and Northants to be crowned ECB U15 County Champions after finals week at Oundle School.

U14 final washed out
Today’s final of the U14 County Cup at Oundle School was abandoned without a ball being bowled- so Lancashire and Middlesex will now try again on Sunday September 16, with Kibworth CC in Leicestershire the provisional venue.
