Lancashire take U15 County Cup

Lancashire won the ECB Under-15 County Cup as they cruised to a 63-run victory over Hampshire in the final at Oakham School on Friday.

The Lancashire team, who also won the ECB Under-14 County Cup Final in 2011, beat Buckinghamshire in the semi-final before taking the title against their South Coast opponents.

After being put into bat, Lancashire scored 303 for eight thanks to half centuries from Callum Turner (75), Callum Parkinson (61) and Mark Waddington (51).

Hampshire were dismissed for 240 in the 46th over despite the valiant efforts of their captain Joe Weatherley who posted 92.
