Yorkshire lift U15 cup
The first Roses final in an ECB age-group competition saw Yorkshire Under-15s romp to a comfortable 135-run victory over Lancashire.
The game looked to be well balanced after the first innings when Yorkshire closed on 200 for six off 45 overs.
Leaming top-scored with 77 not out whilst Williams had picked up a useful 5-46.
Lancashire, however, never came to terms with a fierce Yorkshire bowling attack and were soon in disarray at 26 for five.
With Ross taking 4-14, Lancashire were all out for a paltry score on an excellent batting track, making their wayt to just 65 to suffer a huge 135-run defeat.
In the third place play-off, played over 25 overs, Essex posted a challenging total of 161 for four.
Wiltshire were in the hunt at 103 for two but when Miles was out for 71 their run chase tailed off and their innings closed on 132 for six.
The difference between the two sides was undoubtedly the standard of Essex's spin attack.
