Yorkshire salute King George

George Ross scored a sublime unbeaten century to help Yorkshire beat Surrey to become Under-17 County Champions.
Chasing 328 to win at Grace Road, Yorkshire were cruising despite losing an early wicket as Jonathan Tattersall and Jack Leaning took the White Rose county to 100 for one.
However, the game turned just before lunch when both were dismissed in successive deliveries as Surrey's spin ploy paid off.
But fellow left-handers Ross and Edward Wilson ensured the double setback was nothing more than a blip as they amassed 160 for the fourth wicket.
Wilson, who was the first of the two to reach his half-century, eventually perished when his attempted hook shot flew to fine leg.
But Ross kept a cool head, reaching his century with a six before cracking another maximum to seal the victory.
