Knockout race hots up
The battle is hotting up in the ECB 50+ County Championship as the contenders for the knockout stage start to take shape.
The top three teams in each Group qualify for the knockout stages along with the team with the best record from those finishing fourth in their Group – making 16 teams in all.
The 16 teams are then seeded – the five Group winners seeded 1-5, then the Group runners-up 6-10, third placed teams 11-15 and then the one team finishing fourth that qualifies.
In the last 16 the draw is 1 v 16, 2 v 15 etc - but teams from the same Group cannot play against each other at this stage.
