South Wilts became Wiltshire indoor champions with a comfortable 24-run win over Swindon Asians at the Croft Centre in Swindon.
Electing to bat first the Salisbury side's progress was hampered by the loss of three early wickets. However, they recovered to make a solid 115 in their allotted 12 overs.
This proved to be too many for the Swindon outfit as they were bowled out for just 93 in the last over. Paul Draper, Rob Pittman and Jon Burton all held their nerve with the ball, admirably backed up by some outstanding outfielding and the wicketkeeping of Sam Pittman.
The semi-final victory over reigning champions Winsley had also been convincing, with South Wilts scoring 142 before restricting Winsley to just 85 in reply.
The successful South Wilts side of Rob Pittman (capt), Paul Draper, Jon Burton, Owain Phillips, Sam Pittman & Tom Pearce now head off to South Wales on Sunday February 14 to face the Welsh National Champions in a regional play-off game.
