Run bonanza in Cockspur Cup
Batsmen up and down the country filled their boots in the warm spring sunshine as the first round of the Cockspur Cup turned into a bumper run fest.

With a large increase in entries, a rise of over 20 per cent to 395 teams in two years, the first round of the Cockspur Cup is scheduled to be played on Sunday April 29 with 137 matches at venues ranging from West of Scotland in the North to Ventnor in the South.

Cockspur Cup entry jumps for 2007
The draw has been made for the 2007 Cockspur Cup – with the competition’s entry up 12 per cent on 2006, with 397 clubs chasing a spot in the final at Lord’s.
