The qualifiers for the 2011 Barbados Cockspur Cup t20 finals day have been decided after the regional finals took place over the Bank Holiday weekend weekend.

St Just of Cornwall will take on Ealing of Middlesex; while Cheshire club Hyde face Durham outfit Chester-le-Street in the second semi-final. Finals day at Chelmsford on September 19 will be shown on Sky Sports.

Chester-le-Street eased through with a routine victory over Central Yorkshire League Team New Farnley, who were bowled out for just 89.

Captain Quentin Hughes and Graham Cessford returned 3-11 and 2-11 respectively before openers John Coxon and Simon Birtwistle shared 61 to help Chester-le-Street reach their target inside 14 overs.

Brothers Olly and Mylo Wilkin inspired Ealing to a four-wicket victory over Peterborough Town.

Olly claimed 4-16 to help restrict Peterborough to 108 all out, a total that was overhauled with five balls to spare thanks largely to Mylo’s unbeaten 46.

Robert Woolley hit 30 not out from 27 deliveries to guide Hyde to a four-wicket win against Kendal in the Lake District.

The visitors got over the line with eight balls unused after Kendal had compiled 110 for five from 20 overs.

St Just overcame a late scare to defeat Valley End by five wickets with just two balls remaining.

Luc Durandt’s 33 was the highest score in the hosts’ 148 for seven and an opening partnership of 118 between Dave Roberts and Neil Curnow, who contributed 52 not out and 66, put St Just in complete control.

However, the departure of Curnow prompted a late collapse and seven were required from the final over.

Finals day will take place at Chelmsford on Monday September 19.
