Bath Cricket Club were worthy winners of the ECB U15 National Club Championship after they cruised to wins over Hambledon and Lindum on finals day at Kibworth.

First up they beat Hampshire side Hambledon by eight wickets, cantering past their opponent's 135 for six with Max O’Leary retiring after reaching his half-century.

Competition rules dictate that batsmen must retire out once they have reached 50.

Bath then dominated the final against 2011 champions Lindum, bowling them out for a modest 101 after George Hankins shone with figures of 3-7 from four overs.

In reply, Bath captain Patrick Grieshaber scored a wonderful fifty to guide the Somerset team to victory with more than six overs remaining. O'Leary, continuing his good form, finished unbeaten on 39.

In a rain affected third-fourth play-off, Old Northamptonians beat Hambledon by seven wickets with Paddy McDuell scoring 52.
