Horsham don't make Regional Finals

Ecb U15 National Club Championship

Last year's runners up in the Portman Building Society U15 National Club Championship, Horsham, have missed out on the Regional Finals in 2006.

Horsham would have gone through to the first Regional Finals day on their own Sussex patch on July 31, but were beaten by one run off the last ball of the match against Gore Court in the last stage of the national knockout.

The four teams taking part at Horsham will be:

  • Mildenhall (Suffolk), who beat Old Owens (Hertfordshire) and Woodford Wells (Essex) in two play-off games, both away
  • Leatherhead & Cobham (Surrey), who beat Slough (Berkshire) by 20 runs
  • Harrow St Mary (Middlesex), who beat Buckingham Town (Bucks)
  • Gore Court (Kent), who beat Horsham (Sussex)

The competition is played on a county basis with each of the 40 County Winners progressing to a national knock-out competition, regional finals and national finals day at Bournemouth Sports Club on August 23.
