Regional qualifiers complete in Portman U15 Championship

Morris Motors Exiles (Oxfordshire), Belboughton (Worcestershire) and Brackley Town (Northants) have joined Swardeston (Norfolk) in the Midlands Regional Finals to complete the last-16 line-up in this year's Portman Building Society U15 National Club Championship.

A record entry of 1624 clubs from England, Scotland and Wales entered the 2005 event - with the cream now through to the four Regional Finals and still living the dream of becoming Champions of the Portman Under 15 National Club Cricket Championship at the end an exciting summer of cricket.

The competition is played on a county basis with each of the 40 County Winners progressing to the national knock-out competition. The 2005 National Finals Day will again be held at Bournemouth Sports Club, on Wednesday August 17.

2004 champions Bath are among the four through to the South West Regional Finals, on their home patch at Bath CC on August 3.

The Regional Finals kick off today with the Northern showdown at York CC, with the other two taking place at Moseley (Midlands) and Horsham (South East) next week.
