All to play for in Minor Counties final
The Minor Counties Championship final was intriguingly poised after 14 wickets fell on the second day at Truro.
Replying to Cornwall’s 257 all out, Buckinghamshire were restricted to 205 for nine from 90 overs, with spinners Thomas Sharp and Shakeel Ahmed their chief tormentors.
Sharp claimed 5-76 from 38 overs and Shakeel was similarly economical in returning 3-73 off 35; both men bowled 11 maidens.
Cornwall then slipped to 59 for four in their second innings as Simon Stanway added to his four first-innings scalps with two wickets in as many balls.
Stanway had figures of 2-11 at the close, when Cornwall led by 111 with wicketkeeper Tom Williams unbeaten on 18.
