Cornwall cruise to 10-wicket win
Two five-wicket hauls from Tom Sharp and Chris Hunkin fired Cornwall to a 10-wicket Minor Counties Championship victory over Wiltshire.
In a rain affected contest, Wiltshire, who won the toss in the three-day match at Camborne, reached 248 in their first innings, with James Hayward top-scoring (53), while Hunkin took 4- 50.
In reply, Cornwall reached 322 by the morning of the third day, leaving a result looking unlikely.
However, Sharp (5-24) and Hunkin (5-20) ripped through the Wiltshire batting line-up, with only Ben Walker (26) offering any resistance as the away side were dismissed for just 98.
That left Cornwall needing a meagre total of 25 for victory, which they comfortably knocked off without loss to claim 23 valuable points to Wiltshire’s six.
