Houston gives Dorset problems
Brett Houston and Aaron Onyon starred with the ball as Lincolnshire dismissed Dorset for 245 on the first day of their Minor Counties Championship final at Dean Park, Bournemouth.
Houston picked up 5-52 from 26 overs and Onyon claimed 4-96 after the hosts had won the toss and chosen to bat first.
Glyn Treagus top-scored for Dorset with a defiant unbeaten 80, while number three Chris Morgan chipped in with 49.
Treagus and Morgan put on 90 for the third wicket after Nick Park and George Adolphus had fallen for seven and 24 respectively.
The departure of Morgan with the score on 134 sparked a collapse that saw six wickets fall for just 61, but tail-enders Jack Leach and Mitch Wilson helped Treagus to add valuable runs late in the day.
Bad light then brought play to a close before Lincolnshire could commence their first innings.
