Exall stars for Herefordshire
David Exall cracked an excellent century as Herefordshire claimed an 84-run victory over Wiltshire at Colwall.
Playing in the unfamiliar role of opener, Exall hit 18 fours and one six in his innings of 142 as Herefordshire posted 278 in the first innings after rain delayed the start of play.
Wiltshire stuttered in their reply and a last-wicket stand of 24 between Simon Branston and Tom Bowler was required to avoid the follow-on as they were dismissed for 144 with Luke Sellers claiming 4-40.
Chris Boroughs then hit an unbeaten 120, while Exall again prospered with 89 as Herefordshire declared on 286 for seven to set Wiltshire 424 to win in a minimum of 120 overs.
They mounted a valiant effort as Jayden Levitt scored 101, his second century of the season, but they were made to pay for their poor first-innings performance as were bowled out for 340, giving Herefordshire their second win of the season.
