Dorset sneak home

Herefordshire stumbled to their second successive defeat in Group 3 of the MCCA Trophy as they lost to Dorset by two wickets.

After losing the toss and being asked to bat, Herefordsire were bowled out for 159 with captain Chris Boroughs top-scoring with 38 and Glyn Treagus taking 3-18 for Dorset.

Dorset’s chase endured some nervous moments as Luke Sellers claimed 3-38 and Faisal Shahid 2-31 to disrupt their momentum.

But they eventually overhauled a tricky target thanks to Chris Morgan’s 31 not out along with 39 extras from Herefordshire’s generous bowling attack.

Herefordshire's next match is against Oxfordshire at Radley College on Sunday.
