MCCA final evenly poised
Lincolnshire go into the final day of the MCCA Championship final requiring a further 248 to win following another evenly-matched day at Dean Park.
Dorset, who resumed on 10 without loss on day three, battled to 262 in their second innings - setting Lincolnshire 254 for victory.
Lincolnshire were able to avoid any mishaps in the five overs possible before the close, taking their score on to six with openers Dan Birch and Martyn Dobson still at the crease.
Their target could have been much simpler were it not for the spirited resistance of Dorset number nine Ed Denham, who struck 11 fours and a six in his 76-ball 71.
Denham received good support from Matt Metcalfe as the hosts recovered from 159 for seven.
Aaron Onyon and Alex Osmond shared six wickets for Lincolnshire, while Brett Houston followed up his five-wicket haul in the first innings with 2-46 from 27 overs.
