Dorset lift Minor Counties title
Dorset were crowned Minor Counties champions after sweeping to a 135-run win over Lincolnshire in the final at Dean Park.
A tense finish to what had been an absorbing contest failed to materialise as Lincolnshire - resuming on six without loss in pursuit of 254 for victory - were bowled out for just 118 on the final day.
Spinner Jack Leach was the Dorset hero, taking 6-21 from 17.2 overs on a turning pitch to hurry Lincolnshire out in 47.2 overs and condemn them to a second final defeat of the season after they lost to Shropshire in the MCCA Trophy showpiece.
Glyn Treagus weighed in with 2-10, while there was a wicket apiece for Mitch Wilson and Ed Denham.
Liam Andrews’ 35 was the closest any batsman came to offering sustained resistance, Leach making short work of the tail as the last six wickets tumbled for just 20 runs.
