Wiltshire encouraging female players
Wiltshire Cricket Board has teamed up with Wiltshire Council to organise a Women's cricket coaching programme for local people with an interest in cricket.
Interested women, even with none or limited experience of playing cricket, are encouraged to sign up to the sessions which are aimed at attracting new players to the game.
Two projects will be taking place at Biddestone CC (Tuesday nights) and at Potterne CC (Monday nights) starting week beginning August 9, 6pm-7pm.
Former Australia women's captain, and Wiltshire’s current head of girls cricket, Lisa Keightley, will be leading the sessions.
The cost is £20 for six sessions and the intention is to try and create a women's cricket group in each location over the next couple of years.
For more information or to register your interest, contact Alex Muse, the council's sports development manager, on 01249 706452 or e-mail email@example.com.
